The introduction of an informative piece of writing should identify what the topic is going to be about, what will be discussed, and why it's important for readers to take notice.

The focus of the article doesn't have to be on the conclusion right off the bat, but should be within the first paragraph in order for people to get interested in what's about to come next.

In addition, it's okay to begin with a hypothetical story (not a real one) if you want readers to become invested into your piece. For example, you could start off a piece with: “What if I told you that there are devices that can make your own private movie theater?”

The introduction will give readers an idea of what they're going to get out of it. However, if this example is not needed, then don't go out of your way to include it.

Instead, include your introduction and the rest of the article within one section as to not confuse readers.

The introduction also needs to be short. Keep it at or below 50 words or so. If it's longer then that, people tend to read the whole thing, but if you want them to get excited about what you're going to write about afterwards you need to keep your introduction minimal.

With the following instructions, anyone can make their projector simply from an mirror, a jar and some liquid dish soap.

To make the projector, you simply take two mirrors and place them face to face on top of one another. Next, you carefully pour some liquid dish soap into the center of the big mirror, making sure not to spill any of it on either side.

Then cover with whatever object or picture will best project onto it (a picture or object).

Lastly take 2 bowls (one smaller than the other) and fill each one with equal amounts of water. Then put the smaller bowl on top of the big mirror and slowly tilt it so that the water from the big bowl slowly pours over into the smaller bowl.

From here, you can adjust how much water is in each, which will determine how much light is reflected from the soap as to how long of a distance it will go.

Of course this will only work properly in a dark room or outside at night. If done in a lighted room, your image will be too faint to see.
